Clara Cornelius is a graphic designer, visual artist, and founder of Studio Cornelius.
Studio Cornelius practices a highly collaborative approach focused on honest, transparent communication, looking for ways to create surprise and delight, add texture and dimension, and ultimately produce bold, vibrant design solutions.
Founded by creative strategist and graphic designer Clara Cornelius in 2015, Studio Cornelius is an elastic design studio that specializes in branding and strategy for arts and culture.
Clara was previously the Creative Director at BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music). During her time there (2001-2014), she was responsible for guiding and evolving the BAM brand during a pivotal time of change and expansion that re-established BAM as a preeminent global venue for contemporary performance.
Clara has over 20 years of experience working for cultural partners and organizations across New York City and the world including: BAM, Asia Society, WNYC, Nonesuch Records, Sundance Institute, New York City Center, Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, Onassis USA, and the French Institute Alliance Francais.
